Chitresh Shrivastva
Chairperson and Founder
Chitresh obtained his Bachelor's in Media Studies, Literature and Psychology, and Master's in International Studies, from CHRIST (Deemed to be University). He has been into the research related to Domestic and Global Railway Policies for over 14 years with a greater focus on domestic railway policies from the perspective of Indian Railways.
He has published articles on Railways for publications like Dainik Bhaskar, The Hindu, Deccan Herald, We Care [A Publication by Centre for Social Action], Young Bhaskar, The Mint, Rail Business [FOCUS INDIA] and numerous online publications such as Harvard Economics Review, South Asian Monitor, South Asian Voices, Thunderbuzz, News Minute to mention a few. He has also written a thesis titled “High Speed Rail Corridor: The Role of External Actors” which has been listed as the most read publication on ResearchGate and Academia by prestigious Indian Institutes such as Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and Indian Institute of Management, Indore.
He has delivered guest lectures on various topics related to historical, economic, and technical aspects of railways across deaneries at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), and has also presented numerous papers at National Conferences related to domestic and global railway policies.
Srilekha Ati
Vice-Chairperson
Head, Public Policy Team
Srilekha has a Master's in Public Policy and Governance and a Diploma in Urban Planning and Development. At TRF, she is engaged in Road and Metro Infrastructure Projects with special focus on Tier-II & Tier III cities. She is passionate about contributing in meaningful ways to create inclusive and sustainable cities and a gender-equal society. In her leisure time, she takes a special interest in volunteering and supporting Non-Governmental Organisations and mentoring students.
Ruchika Lalla
Head, Economics Team
Deputy Head, Public Policy Team
Ruchika is currently pursuing her Master's in Statistics and takes a special interest in quantitative economics and econometrics. Her intent is to encourage thorough calculable analysis and perceptible decision-making in the transport sector through her work at TRF. In her spare time, she enjoys a good book, great conversation, and an exciting new challenge.
Utsari Gupta Bhaya
Head, Citizen Outreach Team
Member, Economics Team
Utsari is currently a final year Economics and Mathematics student at Mumbai University. She holds an interest in Economics and Policy. She comes with rich experience in the field of Content Writing, Research, Event Management, Public Relations, and Marketing.
Shaurya Mall
Head, Urban Transport Planning Team
Shaurya has a background in transportation planning. She has completed her Bachelor's of Planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, and her Master's from Rutgers University in New Jersey. Her interest areas include Public Transit Planning, Non-Motorized Transport, Smart Cities, and Civic Engagement.
Mansi Singh
Head, Media Team
Mansi is majoring in History, Economics and Political Science at CHRIST (Deemed to be University). Her research interests are Public Policy, Tribal History, Political Economy, and Developmental Economics. She firmly believes in a multidimensional outlook as the key to untangling intricate socio-economic challenges.
Sathyajith M S
Member, Public Policy Team
Sathyajith is a final year student doing his BA in History, Economics and Political Science. He is interested in public policy, political economy as well as political philosophy. Aside from academics, he enjoys reading, writing and watching speculative works.

Ankit is currently pursuing his first-year Bachelor's in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. His areas of interest include urban planning and mobility.
Sree Lakshmi Ajith
Member, Data Analysis Team
Sree Laskhmi is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. She has interned with Udyogini in the capacities of researcher and coordinator for campaigns.
Vamsi Kommanamanchi
Member, Citizen Outreach Team
Vamsi has completed his M.Tech in Transport Engineering from GMR Institute of Technology and has worked on projects like Modelling and Simulation of Passenger Movement at Metro Rail Transit in Hyderabad. He has worked with the Urban Mass Transit Company in the capacities of an intern.
Vaishnavi Guthi
Member, Media Team
Vaishnavi is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies in History, Economics and Political Science, at Christ University, Bengaluru. She handled the online presence of I Love Mondays as an intern. She has acted as a designer on a newsletter at college and has also been head editor of her school magazine. She is greatly interested in policy-making and aware of the kind of powerful and sustainable impact it has on people’s daily lives. She believes that joining the Transport Review Forum would give her a unique privilege to indulge in making rapid, continual changes which would have tangible results. She looks forward to learning and contributing as best as she can.
Vartika Gupta
Member, Research Team
Vartikka is an Urban Practitioner with more than 2.5 years of experience in Transportation and Solid Waste Management. She has a Master's in Urban Development and Management from The Energy and Research Institute, School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS). She is currently working with AECOM on various Smart City Projects for Transportation and Solid Waste Management related projects.
Akshay Thaggarse
Independent Member
Akshay has a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering and is a transportation activist. He holds a special interest in railways. He is the founder of Kridaank.
Sachin D S
Independent Member
Sachin has obtained his Master's in International Relations from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. His areas of interest include agriculture and international relations.
Atul Batri
Research Assistant
He is currently pursuing his Master's in Development Studies from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad. He has worked in various capacities in various organisations such as Yogya Empowering Society, CitySpeaks, Centre for Green Building Materials and Technology and Samarthan: Centre for Development Support. He has been part of projects such as the Rural Immersion Programme, Urban Workshop: Hyderabad Urban Lab. He is part of the Data Analysis Team.
